Toys for Travel: 14 Mom-Approved Picks - Chicago North Shore Moms

This story originally appeared on the Charleston Moms Network.

Traveling with kids can be a such a great family experience, but sometimes there are a lot of unknowns, or travel delays, or kids with a lot of energy. Having traveled with my three kids over the years, I’ve rounded up some new favorite toys to travel with for kids and some tips to share!

TIPS:

1. You can never have enough snacks! SNACKS, SNACKS, and more SNACKS!

2. Always brings extras (clothes, diapers, wipes).

3. Let the kids run off some energy at the airport or before a long car ride—this helps get all their wiggles out before they sit for a long period of time.

4. Save new toys for the day of travel. I love surprising the kids in the car or at the airport with new toys or entertainment for the older kids (such as new video games, books, or movies pre-loaded onto their iPad).
