June is Infertility Awareness Month and this one is close to my heart. 💙 I know what it feels like to quietly struggle while everyone around you seems to have it figured out. And I never want anyone in this community to feel alone in that journey.

2 years of trying followed by 2 miscarriages 8 total rounds of treatment. No diagnosis. So many tears….. 3 kids healthy kiddos now ages 11, 14 & 16 💜

Food Truck Thursdays returns to the Ravinia District (4:30pm, Jens Jensen Park) — grab dinner from a rotating lineup of trucks plus live music. This one runs every Thursday through Labor Day, so bookmark it.

Five minutes for you, mama: The Peri Power Hour (6-7pm, virtual and free) is a space to talk through perimenopause and midlife with women who get it.

The Winnetka Music Festival is back for year 10 — 25+ artists across 4 stages, starting at 4:30pm downtown.
Highland Park’s Taste of Highland Park also kicks off Friday (5-10pm, Port Clinton Square) — the food and music festival the whole family waits for all year.

SATURDAY 6/20
Coffee in hand, stroller in tow: the Wilmette French Market (8-11am, Metra lot) has flowers, pastries, and live music to start your Saturday right. Then bring the kids to Blues Beats (10:30am, Woman’s Club of Wilmette) — a free concert from Grammy-nominated Wendy and DB.

SUNDAY 6/21
Little ones can dig in at Twiggy Tots (9:30-11am, The Grove) — hands-on nature play for toddlers 1.5-3.5.
Wrap up the weekend with Sunday Jazz at Fountain Square (12-2pm, Evanston) — lunch on a blanket and live jazz downtown.

Summer voice lessons for children 8+, young adults

Summer voice lessons for children 8+, young adults, & adults with Isabelle Cowan, a private voice teacher based in Evanston and Wilmette. Isabelle has over 6 years of applied teaching experience, and enjoys working with students of all ages and levels on pop and musical theatre styles. She has an extensive background in musical theatre performance and expertise in vocal anatomy and pedagogy. Isabelle's teaching is guided by the belief that voice lessons can be a tool to instill confidence and agency in students.
