Hi Danie! Tell us about

Hey Hey! My name is Danie, I am from the NW burbs, born and raised. Now raising my crew here, too! I have FOUR wild fearless and fun babes. We are trekking through teens and toddlers with 16, 15, 3 and 1.5! It’s a rollercoaster of fun and we love every minute of adventure.

Any local favs you’d like to share with us?

A great salad – Nordique from That Little French Guy! A great cup of coffee – Cafe Central Highland Park! Killer workout – Bar Method HP! Best outfit – My Best Friend’s Closet! And you can catch me and my littles at Kohler Museum in Glenview Tuesdays and Thursdays!

What are you reading and watching?

I love a good binge watch but haven’t been keeping up lately, these kiddos sure know how to keep you busy! I would say all time favorites are Schitts Creek and Nurse Jackie. I do love a good read though! Currently reading Now and Not Yet by Ruth Chou Simons, a guide to helping us trust the journey and persevere in all circumstances.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve gotten that’s guided you?

Know your reason why. When you know your reason why, nothing can stop you or defeat you. 🙂

Your go to family-friendly dinners… go!

Going to be very honest here, we do not venture out often because toddlers at dinner time are not typically fun for any party involved haha. BUT I am not a chef (hardly can make a PB&J correctly lol) so we do a ton of take out then venture out for picnics in the park. We rotate between La Taquiza in Highland Park, Once Upon a Bagel, Michaels, and Backyard Grill. Can’t go wrong with tacos, sammies, hotdogs, and DELISH chicken gyros!

Your mantra?

Not sure that it’s a “mantra” but a reminder for sure: “Don’t Blink” Time goes SO fast and sometimes I find myself as a busy mama not embracing the moments – even the messy ones. I look at my teens and wonder where the time has gone and then try to have grace in the hard times with the toddlers knowing these are only moments in a very fast lifetime.

If you could choose one, what is the soundtrack to your life?

OOOH YOU KNOW I LOVE A GOOD COUNTRY SONG (visit Trevi on a Friday and I usually win the Spotify station pick of the day…9/10 country lol)
Marin Morris – The Bones – a great reminder that no matter what it is, love, marriage, friendship, being a mom, career, anything whatever it is build it on a firm foundation and nothing can shake it!

Let’s get down to business. Please introduce Trevi Longevity and Aesthetics.

Trevi is the quintessential hidden gem of the North Shore, where every provider and team member is dedicated to crafting a personalized experience that not only enhances your beauty through advanced aesthetics but also optimizes your health with a comprehensive, functional approach. Regardless of where you are in your wellness and beauty journey, Trevi offers a welcoming environment for renewal and a path to looking and feeling your absolute best. We are passionate about partnering with our patients on this transformative journey.

Tell us about your role as an aesthetics and wellness nurse at Trevi. What services do you provide at Trevi Health and how can we book with you?

I am your go to gal for all things beauty and wellness! My most popular services are Botox, facial balancing, hair restoration, body contouring, hormone optimization, and gut healing. I love educating my patients and helping them improve their overall wellness. Beauty begins from within.

What tips do you have for those of us who have yet to begin our personal wellness journey?

Starting your wellness journey can feel overwhelming, but I like to keep it simple and personalized. It all begins with a blood test, which we conveniently do right in our office. In about 2 to 3 weeks, we’ll sit down and go over your results together. While the test may seem basic, it’s much more comprehensive than what you’d typically get at your primary care office. We’ll review everything in light of your symptoms, goals, and overall well-being, so you can start feeling your best.

While we offer many in-depth tests, I always recommend starting with the basics and taking small steps. Making gradual lifestyle changes is much more sustainable and easier to achieve in the long run. One challenge I see many moms facing, especially postpartum and throughout their 30s to 50s, is the constant demand to juggle everyone’s schedules. This non-stop pace can accelerate the natural aging process and drain your energy reserves.

Here are a few wellness tips I highly recommend for all mamas:
1. **Strength Training** – Aim for at least 30 minutes, four times a week. I love *Barre Method HP* and *Essence Pilates* in Deerfield. Don’t forget to visit *Stretch Labs* weekly to keep your muscles loose and ready!
2. **Glutathione and NAD Infusions** – Whether intramuscular or intravenous, these can help boost cellular health, reduce oxidative stress, and improve mental clarity.
3. **Hormone Optimization** – For some, this can be achieved with supplements, while others might benefit from hormone pellet therapy a few times a year.

Wellness isn’t about big, drastic changes. It’s about making manageable adjustments that add up to a healthier, more energized life!

And when should men and women start their Botox journey?

Don’t wait until the lines have been etched in to start. Getting a bright eyed/refreshed look is possible to keep lines at bay. Another great tip, Botox for any muscle group is recommended every 3-4 months but that can be a hefty bill if you do it all in one foul swoop – I like to suggest doing full face correcting in monthly visits or every 6 ish weeks to breakup the big bill. It makes its more manageable between all the kids sports, plays, trips, school supplies, new Nikes, etc. then we rotate muscle groups and you still get the beautiful glow of full face balancing and smoothing.

What about fillers?

I LOVE to start with a little MicroLaserPeel to get a good surface correction to fine lines and then do a smidge of Sculptra with exesomes to get the best bang for your buck. Sculptra isn’t instant gratification; it takes a few weeks to naturally restore volume loss and lift those jowls. It’s truly a gem of a treatment in this space!

Back to basics… we’d love a few skincare routine tips.

Elaborate, fun and trendy skin care routines are great BUT this mama can empathize with the hustle of getting out the door by 8am and to-go dinners in the car on the way to soccer and volleyball (I’m for sure the black SUV mom on this one!) I like to say as long as you have your “core four” you will be good. Anything more is gravy!

1. Good multifunctional cleanser
2. Treatment product that restores skin health
3. Brightening serum to combat free radical damage
4. Moisturizer with SPF

Some extras that I would say are next in line for importance: a slam dunk neck and eye cream like the ones by Alastin and a good exfoliant like a gentle Retinol.

What sets Trevi apart from other area medical spas and wellness centers?
