Eva Amurri Martino’s Champagne Cocktail Recipe - Chicago North Shore Moms

Eva Amurri Martino—the blogger behind Happily Eva After—loves putting together classic Christmas cocktail parties, which she says satisfies her annual case of holiday nostalgia. They also fit the bill for the perfect New Year’s Eve celebration! Martino has superb party-giving advice for us; she suggests keeping the guest list small, so you can actually catch up with your friends and family. Her preferred look for a party with a retro vibe? A swipe of red lipstick.

Below, Martino has shared her Poinsettia drink, a yuletide-themed Champagne cocktail. “These are super easy cocktails to make for guests if you orchestrate everything in advance: I place the cointreau and cranberry juice in the champagne glasses ahead of time, and then add the champagne component as guests arrive.” Martino serves this cocktail in her grandmother’s vintage Champagne glasses, adding to the throwback feel of her annual fêtes: “It truly is my favorite time of year.”
