A proud Naperville native and mom of two sweet preschoolers, Souji is balancing the beautiful chaos of motherhood with the bold adventure of opening her own med spa that specializes in injectables. Whether she’s chasing after her kids, squeezing in morning workouts with her husband, or perfecting her aesthetic techniques, she brings passion and heart to her work. Hi Souji! Please introduce yourself. Where are you from originally? What city do you live in now? What brought you here?
I originally grew up in Naperville and was part of the first graduating class from Neuqua Valley High School! Now I live in Northbrook with my husband and two kids. I took a job in Park Ridge and moved out to the suburbs after becoming a partner of my Ob Gyn practice.
My daughter is 5.5 yrs old and my son is 3.5 yrs old. They are both currently in pre-school and my daughter will start kindergarten in the fall. They are such fun, happy and sweet kids! I love watching their bond as brother and sister grow. Being a mom is definitely my most challenging and rewarding role. Coming home and having them run up to me at the end of the day, squealing “Mama! Mama! Mama!” is priceless. 😍
What are a few fun or interesting facts about you?
I have a few! I am a history buff! I am so fascinated by history and historical events.
I love vacations and travel – especially somewhere warm and beautiful.
My husband and I workout together almost every morning – and when we go away without the kids, we carve out workout time everyday while on vacation. It’s our love language 🙂 One of the ways I get to move my body is with tennis. I never played in high school, but now as an adult I play a few times a week and it is my happy place!
What are your favorite North Shore places, spaces and eats to frequent with family and/or a date night?
I love sushi – Blufish is my favorite, and my go-to is the crispy rice spicy tuna with black rice.😋 As a family we love Saranello’s Sunday brunch, Napolita, Yard House, Grill House for take-out and Pappi’s pizza (the salad pizza!). Ema in Glenview is great for a date night, or Denucci’s in Highland Park. More favorites are Hometown Coffee and Juice and Sophia steak in Lake Forest. Last but not least, we love the Deer Path Inn for afternoon tea at The English Room.
Awesome recs! We love inspiration. What is your mantra or positive words to live by?
”What is meant for you will not pass you”
I found a bracelet with this saying and decided that it was going to be my new mantra at the beginning of 2018. I went on a first date with my husband about 1 month later and we got married 10 months later! I met him when I was 35 so I had kind of given up on having a family – but we luckily had two beautiful kids pretty soon after getting married! This mantra is something I keep close, reminding me to trust the process and not worry so much.

I’m hoping to grow my practice and hopefully bring on an aesthetician for facials/lasers etc.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know about yourself or NorthShore Aesthetic Physician?
I am dedicated to constantly learning and improving my techniques and attending trainings and conferences to keep my skill level and knowledge at the top of my game. When you’ve spent years in the OR, attention to detail isn’t optional, its instinct. My background as a surgeon means I don’t just inject, I treat with purpose, safety, and precision.
