Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I Grew up in Glenview & now live in Highland Park with my family.

I have a Daughter who is 6 and my son is 4.
Favorite things to do with your children?
I don’t love to sit still … so we are always on the go. Whether it’s just running errands with my kids (which we do a lot!) or being tourists in our own city. Any time I can get with my kiddos when I am not working is precious. Watching movies together, art projects, traveling (because I know I can disconnect for a few days & really connect with my kids) & just being around them makes me happy!
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I am a minimalist. I like to throw everything away. I really love an empty counter! I try to edit items in my home at least once a week! It really helps me clear my mind.

My Parents. Plain & Simple. From the simplest advice to the more complicated life issues, they have guided me to where I am today! And of course my Husband who is on this wild ride of life with me!
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I am one of the owners of Designer Event Chicago, an Event Planning Firm. I started Designer Event Chicago almost 10 years ago (coming up on our 10 year anniversary in April!) with my business partner, Katie Goggin. From what was a dream in High School of owning my own company to now, planning and managing Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Birthday Parties & Corporate Events & averaging as a company 75 events a year – I’d say my dream has come true! It is truly rewarding to be a part of these lifecycle events. Getting to know the families & seeing the event thru to the very end, I’m honored to be able to assist in these memories that will last a lifetime.
I am also fortunate to play a role in my son’s pre-school, serving as the Co-President of the Parent Auxiliary Board. I love that I am able to run my business but also be active in my kid’s schools.
How has the North Shore community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
As large as this world is, it has become so small when related to my industry. I have been lucky enough to gain clients by word of mouth. It has been amazing to be able to build our business from people just like you, Chicago North Shore Moms!
