Family Friendly Restaurants: Barnaby’s Pizza in Northbrook, Casa de Isaac in Highwood, Hackney’s on Lake in Glenview.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My extended family – parents and grandparents – as I learned quickly the phrase that “It takes a village” when raising a child. We are fortunate to live very close to both of our parents who help out with the kids and love to spend time with their grandchildren.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another Mom?
There’s no such thing as the perfect mom and to not be so hard on ourselves. Also- it’s important to be able to ask for help!
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
Yes! I am the owner and principal designer of Lindsey Elise Interiors. My company specializes in residential interior design and our projects range from renovations, new construction projects, and interior furnishing selections and procurement.
What is your best piece of interior design advice?
Clients will ask me all the time what design decisions they should make that will still be current for another 10-15 years. I think it’s impossible to forecast future design trends so it is important to find and purchase items that feel special to you because those are the items you know that you will appreciate for a long time.
What’s on the horizon?
I look forward to growing my interior design business, but also making sure I set aside quality time to be able to spend with my kids.
Starting a residential reno project? Reach out to Lindsey!
