It’s our very first Meet a DAD interview! 💙Cody is a proud husband and father of three. How adorable is his family?! Just wait until you read about their favorite weekend family activities! Cody is the President of The Tranel Financial Group who brings his enthusiasm, leadership & passion everyday! Welcome, Cody!
Where are you from and how long have you lived in town? What brought you to the area?
I am from Brownstown, WI, and graduated the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a bachelor’s in business emphasis in entrepreneurship and a minor in coaching. My current job, The Tranel Financial Group, brought me to Libertyville 7 years ago.
Do you have child(ren)? Age(s)
3 Amazing Children; Lila 5, Bennett 2 and Audrie 7 months old.
What are your favorite things to do in the area with and without your kids? Family friendly restaurant? Date night?
My wife and I love to go to Café Pomigliano for the food, ambience and great service. Our favorite family activity is to visit the parks! In the summer, we will go to the beach at Independence Grove, or to Lunch in the Park at Cook Memorial Park. Libertyville offers a wide variety of family events to always keep us coming back.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor or in the corporate world? Please share!
I am the President of The Tranel Financial Group, and through that our company does a lot of community work. Our business is people and making every day amazing.
Through that, The Tranel Financial Group has Freedom One- a weekly networking group on Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. This is an amazing community that truly networks and refers one another along with supporting many local charities.
We also have Founders 55 NFP Inc. which is a group of Abundant Minded Leaders who want to have a billion-person impact in the world. They are committed to enriching lives in our community through inspirational leadership.
We also have two Toastmasters groups that meet regularly at our office that I and others on my team have been involved with.
The Tranel Financial Group is a company that is passionate about Leadership and we have been a Private View Site for The Global Leadership Summit, through Willow Creek Church, for the past 7 years.
Outside of work, I support my wife as she continues to grow and develop an organization called The Foster Closet in Kenosha which is a resource for foster parents and children to help supplies basic needs for foster children when they are placed in a new home. This location is the closest to Libertyville.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The Libertyville community has helped us to impact people’s lives throughout the area through supporting our events at Tranel and allowing us to participate in local sponsorships such as Mainstreet Libertyville, The David Adler Center, and the GLMV Chamber of Commerce.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
In our home we have themed nights in with the kids. Weekend dance parties are full of new moves, we have movie nights with popcorn, and game night. My daughter always beats me in Candy Land!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another Dad?
The days are long, and the years are short.
What is next for you?
To continue to grow as a husband, parent and successful business person and entrepreneur. More than that, I would like to coach my kids in any sport they are apart of. I would like to hang glide with my wife and take my family on an Alaskan Cruise.
