How the Dailey Method is Cultivating Community… | Chicago North Shore Moms

“Here’s what I know. I love community. I love being around people, sharing positive energy with a group, and I love hugs and high fives. I cultivate this deep sense of connection and community at my studios and when COVID hit us, we had to shut down all of our in-person community. This was a devastating blow.

“Quickly, we pivoted to virtual classes, which are amazing and super convenient. Our barre classes translate really well online (we’re super articulate and specific, so are classes are easy to follow from home!) and we even figured out how to teach online cycle classes. We actually realized we can still find a real sense of community online when we share our screens and move in unison. And a few weeks ago, we launched outdoor barre and cycle classes in Mellody Farm in Vernon Hills and in West Park in Lake Forest. These outdoor classes definitely check the community box! We can be in each other’s presence (of course 6 feet apart) and still get the energy from each other. Amazing!”
