DIY Simmer Pot Holiday Home Fragrance! | Chicago North Shore Moms

Before a night of decorating the tree, cookie making or your next holiday dinner, put a pot of this DIY home fragrance on your stove. It will instantly fill your house with warmth and joy- without chemicals or fake fragrances you’ll find in some plug-ins or candles!

Equipment

Large Dutch oven or pot

Materials

1 orange, sliced

4-5 sprigs fresh rosemary

2 cups fresh cranberries

10 whole cloves

3-4 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot and fill with water to cover.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Simmer for 3-5 hours, topping up with water every 30 minutes as needed to cover ingredients.
