Gorton’s Safety Town Camps @ Gorton Community Center, Lake Forest
Sign your child up for Safety Town – a community favorite and an irreplaceable, interactive, fun way for your child to learn important safety measures of all kinds. With help from community partners like LFFD and LFPD, pet experts, LFOLA, LEAD and more, Gorton provides a powerhouse of experts that teach your children how to be safe. Safety Town Majors camp is for 5-7-year-olds. Commanders camp for 8-10-year-olds builds on the topics covered in the Majors camp, with internet safety, self-defense, home alone situations, bullying and more! Camps fill up quickly, so mark your calendar to register on March 9th.

Summer Camps at Gorton, Lake Forest
Summer camps at Gorton provide a chance for your child to learn something new, make new friends, build independence, explore talents and express his/her creativity all while doing so in a safe environment. We offer a wide range of week-long summer camps that encompass an extensive range of experiences – from acting to STEM – all taught by local, experienced professionals in our historic building in Lake Forest. Our camps vary from week to week, so you can customize your child’s camp experience, and our Lunch Bunch program provides a way to create a full-day camp experience.

Camp Gorton at Children’s Learning Center, Lake Forest
This summer, campers at Gorton will be going on an exciting adventure that explores many types of water, land and air transportation. Daily activities will include arts and crafts, games, music, story time, gardening and of course, outside motor and water play! We have many fun activities planned for all campers. The staff has worked hard to plan a fun and memorable camp experience for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
