Imagine a futuristic wonderland designed just for kids. A world full of endless possibilities and adventure, where kids can explore and experiment with gadgets and advanced, cutting-edge technology. A place where today’s kids invent tomorrow.
Introducing Codeverse, Wilmette’s interactive coding studio for kids aged 6-13. Dreamed up by Chicago’s most innovative techies, Codeverse aims to bring the latest technology into the creative hands of Wilmette’s brightest children. The 4,000 sq ft. state-of-the-art facility, located at 517 Green Bay Road, boasts a wide range of gadgets, including professional-grade sound and light equipment, a 20 ft. high-definition TV wall, and MakerBot 3D Printers – all of which can be controlled by kids using real code.
Throughout the months of June, July, and August, Codeverse Wilmette offers innovative weeklong summer camps, aptly named “Coding FUNdamentals”, for tech-loving kids!
Whether your child is new to coding or has been grabbing for the family iPad since they could toddle, this action-packed camp is perfect for beginners or experienced coders alike. Campers spend a week learning a myriad of topics including: coding, video game development, app design, 3D printing, and CNC machining!
In addition to this, campers design a real robot, then participate in fun challenges (including obstacle course races!) using their cool new robot friend and the power of circuitry. To cap it off, all campers show off their coding creations and projects to family and friends during ‘Demo Day’, held on the last day of camp!
