When it’s cold (which is most of the year) It’s hard to believe that our climate is sustainable for growing produce. But nothing could be farther from the truth! Below is a list of Midwest farms near the North Shore where you can pick your own berries, sunflowers and more. Be sure to check the website and call the farm before trekking out there to be sure there is ample supply. This post was updated June, 2026. Enjoy!
