Hop on the trolley for a celebration of women entrepreneurs, community, and connection!
Downtown Highland Park is thrilled to announce the 2nd Annual Women-Owned Business Whistle Stop Trolley Tour on Thursday, May 7, from 4-9 PM. Timed perfectly before Mother’s Day weekend, this event invites the public to go behind the storefronts and support the local women who make downtown Highland Park a premier business district destination on the North Shore.
At each location, guests will find a celebratory atmosphere where they can experience various free demos, specials, giveaways, and complimentary sips and sweets. Each registered participant will receive a boarding passport to collect prize ribbons at each business they visit. The more ribbons collected, the more prize tickets guests will receive at the afterparty.
There will be an after-party at Dayhouse Coworking (2057-A Green Bay Road) 7–9 PM with sips and snacks from Ami, Curt’s Café, Indus Progressive Indian, and Lynfred Winery, networking, and prize giveaways at 8 PM. Guests must be present to win, making it the “can’t-miss” conclusion to the evening.
“There is something powerful about women showing up for each other—not just as business owners, but as a united community,” says Saldano. “Behind every storefront is a story of passion, strength, and female entrepreneurism. Supporting local women-owned businesses isn’t just about shopping; it’s about building each other up, inspiring the next generation of changemakers, and showing them that women can lead, create, and thrive–together.” – Sandy Saldano, owner of Therapeutic Kneads
