Did you know that 40% of all food we produce in the US ends up in landfills? Luckily, WasteNot Compost is here to help! WasteNot Compost is Chicagoland’s largest year-round compost collection service that proudly serves over 20,000 residents on a weekly basis.
How Does Service Work
Sign up here and use promo code “chicagomom” to get your first month free to try it out.
They will provide you with a 5-gallon bucket in which you put all your food scraps (even meat & bones), 100% paper products (paper towels, coffee filters, and more), and certified commercially compostable products.
On scheduled service days, WasteNot’s team comes by using their 100% electric service vehicles and swaps out your full bucket with a clean and industrially-sanitized one and the cycle continues. So you’re not using the same bucket over and over, you’re getting a fresh one with each service! For most homes, the bucket is serviced on the front porch or wherever packages are left. Our team will work with you to find the location that works best for your home.
WasteNot weighs every bucket they service so you can view exactly how many pounds of waste you’ve composted after each service date. You’re even able to get back some of the finished compost you helped create, crafting a full circle solution!
Additional Member Benefits:
