Major League Table Tennis Finalists to Fight for $100K Prize Purse and First MLTT Cup During Chicago Championships April 27-28

April 27 @ 7:00 pm

The playoff field has been set for a thrilling conclusion to the inaugural season for Major League Table Tennis (MLTT). Four teams including the Carolina Gold Rush, Princeton Revolution, Bay Area Blasters and Texas Smash now head to Chicago to battle for a $100,000 prize purse and the coveted MLTT Cup at Gentile Arena on April 27 – 28.
Three Paris 2024 Olympics-bound competitors, a former Olympian and some of the top players in the world will bring intense athleticism and crowd-stirring drama to the Arena as each team strives to clinch the championship.
“We’re incredibly proud of the exhilarating first season and believe Chicago fans will thoroughly enjoy the MLTT format and the world class play on display,” says Flint Lane, MLTT Founder and Commissioner.
MLTT is the USA’s first professional table tennis league, and provides a path for players who would never have previously had the opportunity to compete at the highest level against stars from around the globe, turning their dream into reality.
Playoff Competitors
East Division
No. 1 seed, Carolina Gold Rush, is the League’s highest point earner at 290 total points, with standout players including MLTT’s number-one overall draft pick and MVP contender, Enzo Angles (France), Romain Lorentz (France), and Jeremy Hazin (Canada) who will compete in the Paris Olympics.
No. 2 seed, Princeton Revolution, is the comeback story of the season after starting 0-5 and being the last team to win their first game. Jishan Liang, a highly accomplished USA national team member, is one to watch with this team, along with former U.S. Open champion Jinxin Wang (USA).
West Division
No. 1 seed, Bay Area Blasters, is the only West division team to beat a team from the East this season. Top players include current men’s U.S. Open champion Jinbao Ma (USA), former Olympian Elsayed Lashin (Egypt), and Lily Zhang (USA), who just qualified for her fourth Olympics and is in the conversation for the greatest US women’s player of all-time.
No. 2 seed, Texas Smash, is the final team to clinch a playoff spot, and brings a top player, David McBeath (England) and Amy Wang, a top female player and current women’s U.S. Open champion who will represent the USA at the Olympics for the first time in Paris.
Fast Facts for Semi-Finals
