Evanston Jazz: Donovan’s Garage Presents the “Hard-Bop Quartet”

Launch into spring with an evening of classic jazz, spontaneous improvisation, and live commentary featuring a quartet of some of Chicago’s finest jazz players. Performing that evening will be saxophonist Fred Jackson, Jr, Ernie Adams on drums, jazz organist Theodis Rogers, and Garage founder and guitarist Donovan Mixon.

This Donovan’s Garage event will feature the work of Thelonious Monk, Benny Golson, Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter and original works by the players themselves.
