Citadel’s Summer Camp program fosters a sense of community by welcoming students of all levels in an effort to not only have fun but to nurture a love and deeper understanding of theatre. Spend a week exploring our interactive studio, creating multi-level video games, building real robots, designing 3D printed projects, learning to code, and more! The Codeverse summer camp program is packed with hands-on STEM activities and challenges for beginner and pro coders alike.

The Codeverse studio is a futuristic, digital wonderland. Every aspect – from the furniture to the hardware – is designed to encourage play, inspire creativity, pique curiosity, and promote collaboration.

Elaine Frank Apachi Day Camp is nestled within 37 beautiful acres featuring sprawling sports fields, natural wetlands, winding nature trails, two heated outdoor pools, a climbing wall, zipline, ropes course, athletic courts, air-conditioned buildings. Days are filled with swimming, ceramics, theme days, music, dance, sports, yoga, Tae Kwon Do, Shabbat celebrations and more. Campers also explore the Garoon Gateway to Science, an outdoor S.T.E.A.M. museum with 52 hands-on exhibits. If your 4th-7th grade camper is into STEM or performing arts, we have a specialty camp for them! Our STEM Specialty Camp is for campers who enjoy innovation and problem solving combined with traditional camp fun. Apachi Performing Arts Specialty Camp is new this summer and campers will develop their acting, dance, musical theater, improvisation, stage makeup and backstage skills with a final performance for families, along with swimming and other traditional camp activities.

Apachi Evanston Day Camp is full of endless fun and activities including sports, swimming, performing arts, cooking, arts & crafts, theme days, field trips and more. Centrally located between Skokie and Evanston, camp features an open green field with shaded areas for baseball, flag football, soccer, and scavenger hunts. The indoor, air-conditioned space includes a large gym and a stage for dance and theater. There are multiple camps within Apachi Evanston including Sports Camp where 2nd-7th grade campers work on skills, drills and mini-games to enhance their performance in a variety of sports. Apachi Ivrit and Apachi Ivrit Sports Camp exposes campers, 4 years-4th grade, to conversational Hebrew by listening and speaking with counselors and friends. A transportation hub at the Bernard Weinger JCC in Northbrook is available for Apachi Ivrit and Apachi Ivrit Sports campers. Performing Arts Camp has professional actors and artists guiding 2nd-8th grade campers as they develop their acting, dancing, musical theater, improv, stage makeup and backstage skills. Join us for a HIGH-ENERGY HARMONY party this summer and get a crash course in all things music! From singing songs to creating GROOVY GATOR BEATS, kids will playfully explore musical patterns while having oodles of fun and playing games.

Each day will focus on a different musical genre and kids will gain skills on a variety of instruments, including the UKULELE, PIANO, and PERCUSSION (bongos, maracas, and shakers….oh my!). Kids will create music-themed art projects, listen to SILLY STORY TIME, and get moving with numerous stretch and boogie breaks.

Lighthearted awards will be given out during the week and a small INFORMAL PERFORMANCE will occur on the last day of camp, details to come.

Perfect For: Kindergarten through 2nd graders who love silliness, creativity and music, singing and dancing

Summer, summer, summertime! Discover the JOY OF JAMMING and playing songs with others in a real band. Yes, it can really happen in a week! Twelve Tone’s popular summer music camp will take kids on a journey through musical genres while learning POPULAR SONGS of the time. Kids and teens will be placed in small groups based on age, skill, ability, and interest. SMALL GROUP LESSONS will be given on an instrument of choice and followed up with group BAND PRACTICES.

Twelve Tone’s music camp provides a SAFE SPACE for kids and teens to explore their musical potential with experienced teachers and mentors. The groups will also innovate and CREATE SONGS together after learning key SONGWRITING SKILLS and perform a FINAL SHOWCASE for friends and families at the end of the week. It’s crazy fun to watch the transformation of these kids over the week!

Perfect For: Kids who have taken at least a few lessons on their instrument, who love playing music, being creative, hanging out with friends, and collaborating with others.
