Summer Festivals 2021

We’re taking summer back!  Chicagoan’s live for summer festivals and we are thrilled to have a full list to enjoy this summer!  Right here on the North Shore, or within a quick train ride to the city, there are multiple options each weekend to choose from.  If we’ve learned anything from the last year it’s to celebrate every moment, dance like no one is watching, and eat ALL the street food when you have the chance!  Cheers Friends!

Space X Sketchbook Brewing Present a Weekend of Music, July 9th-11th 
Food, craft beer and local music performances, what more could you ask for?

Highwood Togie Fest, July 15th-19th
Tacos, hoagies, booze, music and a carnival- sounds like a parents night in heaven!  Sign us up!

Bitter Jester Music Festival, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13, 9/5 (opening night, more events to follow!) 
This festival is not only fun, but supports musically talented youth on their journey!  Food and drinks by local venders within Highland Park make for a family friendly summer night!

Glencoe Festival of Art, July 24th- 25th
Downtown Glencoe hosts over 90 artists through the streets!

Geneva Arts Fair, July 24th-25th 
Art and food fill this summer destination for the weekend!

Dupage County Fair, July 27th – 31st 
Visit Wheaton and the Dupage County Fair!  Animal, rides and more!

Lake County Fair, July 30th -Aug 1st
Theres nothing that says summer like a county fair- beer tents, Bloody Mary bingo, trucks and more!

Art at The Glen, July 31st – Aug 1st 
Featuring over 140 artist from across the country with music and food to pair, definitely catch at least one day at The Glen this weekend!

Northbrook Days, Aug 4th-8th 
Rides, games, live music, food, beer & wine, and much more don’t miss this summer tradition at Village Green Park in downtown Northbrook!

Vintage Day’s Long Grove, Aug 7th-8th 
Long Grove Vintage Days celebrates all things vintage, antique, reclaimed, repurposed, upcycled and handmade in the heart of downtown Long Grove with live music and more!

Evanston Art Fest, Aug 13th-15th 
Featuring high-end work from over 130 artist!

Highwood Pride Fest, Aug 14th
Celebrate Pride on the North Shore!

Lake Forest Music Festival, Aug 21st 
Bands, Burgers and Bourbon rule this family friendly music festival!

Evanston Art and Big Fork Fest, Aug 20-22nd 
Live music, food, beer and wine will be featured all three days along with art from over 100 artists!

Lake Forest Music Festival featuring Bourbon & Burgers, Aug 21st
There is no better food companion to bourbon than burgers – and this year’s festival theme does not disappoint. At least six chefs of all types will showcase their signature burgers, to be enjoyed in the comfort of our huge seating area. Our bourbon tasting pavilion will offer more than 20 types of bourbon for tasting, along with beer and wine.

Skokie’s Backlot Bash, Aug 27th- 29th 
Start your day with a pancake breakfast followed by bingo, music, for and drinks!

Port Clinton Art Festival, Aug 28th- 29th 
Stroll art from 250 artist while sipping and savoring the best of Highland Park!

Valslist Emerge Winnetka: A Live Music Event, Sept 11th
This festival is all things summer in the dog days of summer! Food trucks, drinks, community and great music from all genres!

 

Taste of Chicago , July 7th-11th 
After an incredibly hard year for restaurants, the Taste of Chicago is back with events throughout the city celebrating the restaurant industry.

Windy City Smokeout, July 8th-11th 
Even as a non-Country Music fan, this festival is so much fun!  Great food, talented performers, and in the bustling West Loop of Chicago.

Southport Arts Festival, July 10th-11th 
Former Lakeview residents know that if it’s happening on Southport Ave, there’s fun to be had for all ages!  (This festival typically has a fantastic kids area!)

Lollapolooza, July 31st- Aug 1st
The ultimate in summer music festivals in the Midwest, right here in Chicago.  If you’re a music lover, you can’t beat bringing your kids to Lolla for a day in Grant Park, popping in and out of Kid-Pollooza between sets.

North Halsted Market Days, Aug 6th-8th
This festival is LIVELY!  Always representing a range of music from the 70s-present, great people watching and even better vibes.

Retro on Roscoe, Aug 13th-15th 
This is one of the best family friendly street festivals of the summer in Chicago!  Great music, a large kids area, and good vibes!
