The Great Highwood Pumpkin Fest returns October 4-6

October 4

The Great Highwood 14th annual Great Pumpkin Fest is coming up October 4-6 and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever, with two Guinness World Record attempts: the longest line of pumpkin pies and the most jack-o’-lanterns on display! This fan-favorite festival features all-you-can-carve pumpkin stations, live music from three stages, costume contests, a full carnival, and much more! Bring your family, friends, and pumpkins to join in the fun and help Highwood carve its way into history.

Here’s is what people attending can expect:

  • Pumpkin Town USA and Superhero Skeleton Displays: scenes from fan-favorite superhero movies will be displayed all over the streets (beginning on September 28)
  • All-you-can-carve pumpkin stations all weekend long!
  • Guinness World Record attempts for the longest line of pumpkin pies and jack-o’-lanterns.
  • Pet costume contest, Kid costume contest, and pumpkin pie eating contest: all taking place on Sunday!
  • Live music on three stages, food and vendors, a carnival, and more exciting activities.
  • With no entry fee, this is an event that your readers won’t want to miss!

Festival organizers have teamed up with many different local businesses as well as military chefs to bake enough pies for the world record attempt. Don’t worry, no pies will go to waste. And all leftover pies will be donated to nonprofit organizations after the festival!

The festival will benefit Kids Rank, supporting military children across the region.
