SKATE for Girls, a math and figure skating program

May 21 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join SKATE for Girls, a math and figure skating program (solving kinesthetically and transforming education). Teaching math through figure skating and movement would be the main idea of the program. One mission of SKATE for Girls aims at decreasing the gender gap in STEM by showing girls what they’re capable of. The target audience would be middle school (5th-8th grade) girls. The program is also free and would allow lower-income families to access it.

The program will run Sundays January 15-Feb 19 from 1-4 pm (6 weeks). The class will be held at Centennial Ice Rink in Wilmette, Illinois.
