[Lake Forest, Illinois – September 23, 2024] – The fifth annual Lake Forest ‘Then & Now’ Auto Show will be held on Sunday, October 6 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the West Lake Forest Train Station, 911 Telegraph Road in Lake Forest.

This invitation-only auto show showcases 120 years of vehicle excellence. There are classic cars from “Then” (the distant past) & “Now” (special cars of today).  Unfamiliar cars like Alvis, Bandini, Brabham, Cyclops, DeTomaso, Franklin, Fraser-Nash, Iso Grifo, Lester MG, Jowett, Pierce, and even a Stanley Steamer.  And celebrated old and new cars, like Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Cadillac, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Morgan, McLaren, Nash, Packard, Porsche, Studebaker & Rolls-Royce.  It’s a 100-vehicle display of both legendary classics and superstars of today.

In addition to a continued selection of fabulous automobiles, new for 2024, the Lake Forest ‘Then & Now’ Auto Show is excited to host a selection of rare, unique and highly sought after motorcycles.  From a 1911 Excelsior Model K, built in Chicago, to a 2008 Bimota Tessi built in Rimini, Italy, this selection of motorcycles is sure to provoke curiosity and a sense of how the development of motorcycles has progressed from Then to Now.

The popular family-friendly event includes not only the auto showcase but also entertainment by the popular Flat Cats band, a terrific onsite raffle, and an expanded “Food Station”.  Young attendees will enjoy exploring state-of-the-art fire and police vehicles as well.  Admission to the event is free and the community is invited to attend.

“I have been going to car shows for 30 years and this show, without a doubt was the best one ever. The organization was outstanding. The volunteers were helpful and friendly. The music was excellent as well.” one event attendee shared. “The variety of cars at the show were more than I have ever seen. Attendees will be able to purchase a variety of items from the “Food Station” featuring food and beverages from favorite area businesses including Bonique USA Waffles, Clucker’s Charcoal Chicken, La Plancha Loca Taqueria, Lake Bluff Brewing Company,  Lincoln Land Kettle Corn, The Left Bank, Mamma Mia Pizza and Snowie Shaved Ice
