Labor Day Weekend, August 30-September 1, Downtown Highwood
Musicians from around the country descend upon Highwood once again as Celebrate Highwood transforms its Downtown into Nashville’s Honky Tonk Row for the Sixth Annual Nashwood (Nashville+Highwood) Music and Food Fest. Attendees of all ages are encouraged to don their cowboy boots and hats over Labor Day Weekend, August 30- September 1, for three days of FREE live country, bluegrass, blues and classic, contemporary and Southern rock music, as well as Southern inspired food and drink specials.
The sounds of Nashville will permeate the air as music lovers stroll the streets of Downtown Highwood enjoying FREE performances throughout many venues with live music indoors and outdoors, all within a 48-hour time frame. There are no cover charges, but in true Nashville style, tips are always welcome to support the musicians! Nashwood will run Friday: 5 PM-bar close, Saturday: 12 PM-bar close, Sunday: 12-8 PM.
The public is invited to take a jump on the Nashwood Hop-Along Hayride for free shuttles throughout Downtown Highwood.

Highwood encourages attendees to take Uber, Lyft, public transportation, or walk or ride bikes along the enhanced Green Bay Trail – Robert McLory Bike Trail which leads straight into the heart of Highwood. Ride the Metra north or south to the Highwood station, or take a Pace Bus. Free parking is available but spots are limited!
Watch Highwood transform into Nashville over Labor Day weekend. Highwood restaurants and bars will feature 100 free, live country, southern blues, classic and contemporary rock from beginning Friday happy hour and running all day and evening Saturday and Sunday.
